Positive Psychology Masterclass and Coaching Programme

Blind Veterans UK

This frontline charity recognised the need to provide wellbeing support for their staff from senior leaders through to the residential care team. In collaboration with Andy Meeker, we designed and delivered 2 hour online Masterclasses to small groups focusing on positive psychology tools and solution-focused theory. This helped staff to accept the challenges they were facing while developing resilience to cope with the changes. Every delegate was also given a 1-2-1 coaching session to either focus on their personal wellbeing or as an opportunity to explore growth and development at work.

Brilliant session, Clare and Andy create a very safe environment where you feel you can share your thoughts freely and allow you to easily understand the content.

Leadership Development and Wellbeing Ambassador Training

Artesia Consulting

We initially worked with the leadership team taking a strengths-based approach to sustainable high performance. This included training and group development sessions on signature strengths, effective feedback techniques and psychological safety. 1:1 executive coaching sessions supported this training over a period of six months. Greater awareness around wellbeing and performance led to an all staff initiative where our Wellbeing Ambassador Programme was offered to the wider team.

Clare is very engaging and a great host. The concepts are explained clearly and is very good at coaching us through the exercises.

Workplace Wellbeing Sessions

Bangor University Healthcare Department

We ran online workshops over multiple days to focus on developing staff wellbeing. The focus was on the PERMAH model of wellbeing which promotes the idea that wellbeing is holistic and certain needs must be met to truly thrive. We also collaborated with their internal coaching network to arrange further coaching support as a follow on from the online workshop.

Clare Martin came across as an excellent presenter, and if I ever felt the need for a 1:1 coaching session I would definitely want her to be my coach!

Stress Management Taster

RPM London Advertising Agency

A London advertising agency recognised that stress and managing wellbeing was not always a natural part of the culture of a fast-paced workplace and sought our consultation on offering a voluntary lunchtime taster session on managing stress. It was a one hour slot that allowed staff to come together, reflect and share strains while exploring some simple tools to reduce stress in a healthy and productive way. Their mental health first aiders were integral in supporting and promoting this session which lead to further interest in our Wellbeing Ambassador Programme.

I really enjoyed the discussion around the ABC exercise - a good reminder that we are in control of what we think, feel and do.

Positive Leadership and Team Development

Cardiff University Student Union

Every year, as is the case with many student unions, this University Student Union has a new team made up of elected officers who have one year placements working with an existing senior leadership team. It is therefore essential that the hit the ground running. We designed and delivered a three day long team development away programme for them. It focused on bringing the team together in challenging and focused ways to explore their different strengths, learn to collaborate and how to develop into a positive leader. A variety of outdoor physically activities were used alongside more cognitive based positive psychology tools.

Perfect balance of activity to bond the group. I got to understand the different personalities both through the theory and the practical exercises.

Coaching for Managers Workshop

Outdoor Industry AGM

Recognising that a creating a coaching culture in the workplace can facilitate an openness and opportunities to thrive, a professional body representing people in charge of Outdoor Adventure Centres asked us to develop a workshop on this topic. In the outdoor industry risk management is paramount but this is most effectively created by managers empowering individual staff to assess and monitor risk on a continuous basis as well as being willing to discuss and reflect on near misses without fear of condemnation. A coaching management style lends itself to creating this open dialogue and the workshop focused on specific tools and skills to facilitate this.

Great exercises to explain coaching techniques. Some new ideas to try and can see how coaching my staff to an outcome could be beneficial in the long run.
